Why Vaccinate Your Pet?

Vaccinations are key to keeping your pet healthy and preventing the spread of life-threatening, contagious diseases. By vaccinating your pet, you're not only protecting them, but also helping prevent outbreaks in the wider community.
At Pawkit, we bring expert care right to your doorstep, helping you choose the right vaccines based on your pet’s lifestyle and age - minus the stress of a vet clinic!
Types Of Vaccines For Pets
Vaccinations for pets are divided into two main categories: core and non-core vaccines. While core vaccines are essential for all pets, non-core vaccines are given based on specific needs, such as travel or exposure to certain environments.
Core Vaccinations
Core vaccines are essential for all dogs and cats, regardless of their environment or geographical location. These vaccines protect your pet from severe, potentially fatal diseases common in Singapore.
Puppy/Kitten Vaccination Series
The first core vaccine should be given at 6-8 weeks, followed by additional boosters every 2-4 weeks until the pet is 16 weeks old or older.
First Adult Booster
A booster vaccine is recommended at 52 weeks of age or within 1 year following the final dose of the puppy/kitten series. This ensures continued protection, especially for pets that may not have responded to earlier vaccines.
Subsequent Vaccines for Adults
Core vaccines are generally given as annual boosters. But our vets may recommend serological testing to measure your pet’s immunity and adjust the vaccination schedule based on their lifestyle and risks.
Non-Core Vaccinations
Non-core vaccines are administered based on specific factors like location, environment, and lifestyle. They protect against less common, but still serious diseases and are recommended for pets that travel abroad or are exposed to higher-risk settings.

Very patient and gentle treatment during the vax session. Fussy and scaredy cat has no complaints! Team was patient in answering questions that a new cat owner has. :))
